Actor and comedian Jerry Stiller has died of natural causes, Ben Stiller says
Jerry Stiller, an American actor known for his role in the Seinfeld sitcom, has died at age 92 of natural causes. Her son, Ben Stiller, was the one who communicated the news through his Twitter account: “Sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, has died of natural causes. He was a great father and grandfather and a dedicated husband to Anne for 62 years. We will miss him. I love you, Papa".

Together with his wife, Anne Meara, he formed the Stiller & Meara duo, which made them an icon of New York comedy. During the 1960s and '70s, they appeared numerous times on The Ed Sullivan Show and were together until her death in 2015.
Although many will remember him for being the father of George Constance in Seinfeld, his career led him to act in films such as Pelham 1.2.3., Directed by Joseph Sargent, and Hairspray (1988), by John Waters - he worked again in the new 2007 version. The more than 100 titles that make up his filmography also include tapes with his son, such as Zoolander or Compulsive Marriage.

Industry figures such as Ricky Gervais or Hank Azaria have shown their condolences and have paid tribute to Stiller with a few words on social media. "He was an adorable man. He was always nice to me, ”recalls Azaria.
